NANOTECH – TUNGSTEN NANO COATING
Lubricants that protect sliding surfaces on a molecular level
(Weizmann Institute of Sciences Israel)
Up to 150% longer life of cutting and forming tools
Lower fuel consumption by 5-15%
Longer equipment life – lower investment costs
Lower consumption of energy and lubricants
"NANOTECH helps the engine in all extreme situations when the engine is not perfectly lubricated, such as cold starts..."
Ing. Robin Dolejš – technical director
HOW NANOTECH WORKS
The basic component of NANOTECH ingredients are fullerenes (round nanoparticles). In critical situations, they behave like ball bearings. Normally, the moving parts would seize or be irreversibly damaged, but thanks to NANOTECH, no damage will occur.
Under high pressure and shear stress, one layer will peel off, creating a very resistant and slippery film on the surface.

Project:
Research on the Effects of a New Type of Nanostructured Lubricants for Machining
The project focuses on researching the effects of original nanoparticle additives in the cutting environment for machining. The research will be conducted during the turning of two types of materials and under a broader range of operating conditions. In this fundamental manufacturing operation, the primary effects of nano-additives in the environment will be determined in terms of chip formation, reduction of friction and force effects, tool wear intensity, and the quality of the machined surface. The project output will be a technical report and insights into the effects of nano-additives.
